Patna: With the Bihar Assembly elections looming, the state government has reshuffled seven IAS officers, making significant changes to administrative postings in Patna and across departments.
Patna Divisional Commissioner Chandrashekhar Singh has been appointed Secretary of the Chief Minister’s Secretariat. He will also hold the additional charge of Secretary of the Disaster Management Department and Chairman of the Bihar Rajya Pul Nirman Nigam.
Animesh Kumar Parashar, who was serving as Commissioner of Patna Municipal Corporation, will take charge as Commissioner of Patna Division. He has also been given additional responsibility as Managing Director of Bihar Urban Infrastructure Development Corporation (BUIDCO).
Yashpal Meena, previously Additional Secretary in the Health Department, has been named the new Municipal Commissioner of Patna Municipal Corporation.
Shirsat Kapil Ashok has been entrusted with multiple roles, including Managing Director of the Bihar State Road Development Corporation, Chairman of the Road Construction Department, Special Officer of the Bihar State Bridge Construction Corporation Limited, and Managing Director of the Disaster Management Department. He will additionally serve as head of COMFED.
Himanshu Sharma, who was previously Chief Executive Officer in the Bihar Rural Livelihoods Department (JEEViKA), has been appointed Special Secretary in the Health Department and Special Officer in the Disaster Management Department.
