Gaya/Patna: The Bihar government has intensified efforts to position the state as an industrial hub, with senior officials reviewing progress at the Integrated Manufacturing Cluster (IMC) in Gaya alongside potential investors from the steel and power sectors.
Mukul Kumar Gupta, director of industries, visited the project site to assess ongoing development work and discuss investment opportunities with representatives of several industrial groups.
Industrial groups inspect project site
Representatives from Topworth Steel and Power Private Limited, Lodha Corporation and Ankur Steel were among those who visited the site. Industrialists including Abhay Lodha, Anmol Lodha, Rajkumar and Mahindra Sharma took part in the inspection.
Officials from the Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA) accompanied the delegation and briefed investors on the facilities and infrastructure planned under the project.
Master plan presented to investors
During the visit, officials presented the IMC Gaya master plan and conducted a site tour to explain the availability of land parcels and proposed industrial infrastructure.
According to officials, the project is being developed as a modern industrial ecosystem aimed at supporting large-scale manufacturing units with improved connectivity and basic infrastructure.
Interest in steel and power manufacturing
Industry representatives expressed interest in setting up steel and power product manufacturing units within the industrial city, officials said.
The proposed investments are being viewed as a sign of growing investor confidence in Bihar’s industrial sector. If implemented, the projects are expected to generate employment opportunities for local youth.
Government focus on industrial expansion
Officials from the industries department said the state government is continuing efforts to expand industrial activity and create jobs through large-scale infrastructure projects.
They added that initiatives such as IMC Gaya are expected to play an important role in attracting private investment and strengthening Bihar’s manufacturing base.
