Patna: In a significant administrative move, the Bihar government on Saturday issued a notification reassigning new responsibilities to ten Indian Police Service (IPS) officers. The Home Department’s (Police Branch) notification also stated that the additional charge of CID SP (E), held by Bihar Police Service officer Mamta Kalyani, has been terminated.
Jitendra Kumar, who was recently promoted to the rank of Director General (DG) and serves as the Chairman of the Central Selection Board (Constable Recruitment), has been given the additional charge of Director General of the Bihar Special Armed Police (B-SAP).
Several other key changes were also announced:
- Anusuiya Ransingh Sahu, previously the IG (Civil Security), has been appointed as the new IG (Training).
- SP Mithilesh Kumar, who was awaiting posting, has been made the SP of the Emergency Response Support System (ERSS).
- Kantesh Kumar Mishra has been assigned the role of SP of CID (E).
- ERSS SP Vidyasagar has been appointed as the Commandant of B-SAP 8 in Begusarai.
- The current B-SAP 8 Commandant, Manoj Kumar, will now serve as the SP of the Surveillance Investigation Bureau.
Further changes in the hierarchy include:
- Pankaj Kumar Raj, who was recently promoted to IG from DIG (Civil Security), has been officially posted as IG (Civil Security).
- The additional charge of DIG Prohibition has been withdrawn from ATS DIG Rajiv Mishra, who has now been given the additional charge of DIG Railways.
- DIG (Administration) Bihar, Rashid Zaman, has been assigned the additional charge of DIG (Prohibition).
- DIG Ashish Bharti of Begusarai has been given the additional charge of DIG, B-SAP (Northern Division) in Muzaffarpur.
