Patna: Ten Indian Police Service (IPS) officers from the Bihar cadre will travel to Hyderabad next month to take part in a mid-career training programme, officials said.
The officers have been nominated for Phase 3 of the 27th Mid-Career Training Programme (MCTP), scheduled to be held from May 25 to June 19 at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy in Hyderabad.
According to an official communication issued by Deepak Kumar, under secretary to the government, the selected officers will undergo advanced training designed to enhance leadership skills and operational capabilities at senior levels of policing.
The letter informing the nominations was addressed to Dr Srinivas A, deputy director of the MCTP, confirming the participation of the Bihar cadre officers in the programme.
The Mid-Career Training Programme is a key component of professional development for IPS officers, aimed at equipping them with updated knowledge, strategic insights and modern policing techniques.
A list of the ten officers selected for the training has been issued by the department.
