Patna: The Bihar Labour Resource Department is set to organize the “Employment-Cum-Vocational Guidance Fair 2024-25” in all districts of the state from February 16. The objective of this initiative is to provide employment opportunities to youth and offer them vocational guidance. In a review meeting, the Labour Resource Minister Santosh Kumar Singh directed department officials to ensure that 1 lakh youths get employment in the next six months.
The minister informed that more than 50,000 youths have already been provided jobs in the financial year 2024-25 through job fairs and employment camps. He emphasized that private sector companies, including MRF, L&T, Taj City Centre, Lemon Tree Premier, SIS, Zomato, Reliance Jio, LIC, Walkaroo, and Utkarsh Micro Finance, are actively participating in these job fairs.
The fair is offering job opportunities in various sectors such as IT, healthcare, automobile, security services, microfinance, manufacturing, marketing, and hospitality. These opportunities are available for both technical and non-technical qualifications.
The minister urged the youth of Bihar to participate in large numbers and take advantage of these employment opportunities. He assured that the Bihar government is continuously working towards job creation and skill development for the state’s youth.
