Bihar Launches Essay and Logo Design Competition for World Heritage Day

Patna: In a bid to promote awareness and appreciation of Bihar’s rich cultural heritage, the Department of Art, Culture and Youth has announced a state-wide essay writing and logo design competition to mark World Heritage Day on April 18. The initiative aims to engage students in exploring the state’s architectural and historical legacy, with winners set to be honoured in a special ceremony on the same day.
The essay competition is open to students from Class 9 to the undergraduate level, with entries required to be in Hindi and not exceeding 700 words. Participants can choose between two topics—Cultural Heritage of Bihar or Heritage of Originality in Ancient Architecture. Submissions must be sent in PDF format to [email protected] by April 12.
For the logo design competition, eligibility is restricted to students from Class 9 to 12. With the theme Heritage and Its Conservation, the contest encourages young artists to visually represent the significance of preserving Bihar’s cultural landmarks. Entries must be submitted in JPG or PDF format by April 14 via email.
The initiative provides a platform for students to express their creativity while deepening their understanding of Bihar’s historical legacy. The top three participants in each category will be awarded prizes, underscoring the state government’s commitment to heritage conservation and youth engagement
