Patna: The Bihar government has established a control room in Patna to address public complaints and concerns related to the supply and distribution of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).
The facility has been set up within the Department of Food and Consumer Protection to ensure a quick response to issues arising from the current situation related to oil and natural gas supplies in the state.
According to officials, the control room will operate daily from 7am to 9pm, allowing consumers from across Bihar to report problems related to LPG availability, distribution or other related concerns.
Members of the public can contact the control room by calling 0612-2233050 to inform officials about difficulties they are facing in accessing LPG.
The department said complaints received through the control room would be reviewed promptly so that necessary action can be taken to resolve issues.
Officials said the initiative aims to provide a direct communication channel for consumers and help authorities respond more effectively to supply-related concerns.
The Department of Food and Consumer Protection has also appealed to residents to use the control room helpline to report any LPG-related problems rather than relying on rumours or misinformation.
Authorities said the move is intended to ensure that consumer grievances are addressed quickly and that the distribution system continues to function smoothly across the state.
