Patna: Apartment societies operating in Bihar’s urban areas will soon have to register with the Cooperative Department under a proposed system aimed at bringing their management and functioning within a formal framework.
Cooperative Secretary Dharmendra Singh said on Wednesday that registration would be made mandatory for apartment societies across urban areas. The Cooperative Department will coordinate with the Urban Development and Housing Department to implement the initiative.
The move is intended to streamline the functioning of apartment societies and establish a more structured system for their operation and management.
Cooperation Department To Work With Urban Development Department
According to Singh, the Cooperative Department will seek the support of the Urban Development and Housing Department to implement the registration process.
Bringing apartment societies under the Cooperative Department’s framework is expected to provide a more organised structure for their management.
The announcement was made by the Cooperative Secretary while speaking to journalists at Soochna Bhawan on Wednesday.
Vegetable Outlets On The Lines Of Sudha
The Cooperative Department is also working on a separate initiative to improve market access for vegetable growers in Bihar.
Under the plan, vegetable booths will be established along the lines of Sudha outlets, providing a dedicated channel for farmers to sell their produce.
The department has set a target of establishing vegetable collection centres in 350 panchayats and developing supporting infrastructure across 50 blocks.
The initiatives are part of efforts to strengthen cooperative structures while improving market access for producers across the state.
