Patna: Bihar’s largest-ever Mega Job Fair-2026 began at Gyan Bhawan in Patna on Wednesday, with 112 companies participating in a five-day recruitment drive aimed at providing private-sector employment to more than 20,000 youths.
Organised by the Department of Youth, Employment and Skill Development and the Bihar Skill Development Mission, the job fair will continue until August 23. Interviews will be conducted daily from 10am to 5pm.
Hundreds of job seekers reached the venue on the opening day. Candidates are required to register, collect tokens and approach companies according to their preferred job roles before appearing for interviews.
Minister To Inaugurate Job Fair
Arun Shankar Prasad, Minister of Youth, Employment and Skill Development, will formally inaugurate the event.
The state government has positioned the fair as an initiative to connect young job seekers directly with private-sector employers. For several positions, candidates may be selected through direct interviews and on-the-spot recruitment without a written examination.
112 Companies Across Multiple Sectors
A total of 112 companies are participating in the recruitment drive. The participating employers represent sectors including banking, finance, retail, e-commerce, information technology and logistics.
Candidates will be considered according to the eligibility criteria and recruitment requirements specified by individual companies.
Jobs For Class 10 Pass To Postgraduates
The fair is open to candidates with a minimum qualification of Class 10. Those who have passed Class 12 or hold graduate or postgraduate degrees can also apply for suitable positions.
Candidates with ITI qualifications and diplomas are eligible for roles matching their training and experience.
No Application Fee
Participation in the job fair is free and candidates do not have to pay an application fee.
However, online registration is mandatory. Candidates who have not completed the required online registration will not be allowed to enter Gyan Bhawan.
Registration can be completed through the Bihar government’s employment portal using a mobile number. Candidates have been advised to keep their registration slip either as a digital copy on their phone or as a printed document.
Documents Candidates Must Carry
Candidates appearing for interviews should carry their registration slip along with the following documents:
- 5–6 copies of an updated resume or CV
- Original educational certificates
- Photocopies of educational certificates
- Aadhaar Card
- PAN Card
- Passport-sized colour photographs
Candidates have been advised to keep their documents organised for the interview and document verification process.
