Patna: Following several days of continuous rainfall across Bihar, the state’s Meteorological Department has forecasted that the monsoon will remain active through August 14. This brings a high possibility of more rain, particularly on Tuesday and Wednesday, which is expected to further improve the pleasant weather conditions and bring relief from the previous heat.
Over the past 24 hours, the state recorded an average of 20.2 mm of rainfall. This consistent rain has led to a significant drop in temperatures. On Monday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 32°C—1.1 degrees below normal—while the minimum temperature was 25°C—1.9 degrees below normal. The reduced temperature has narrowed the difference between the day and night temperatures to just 7 degrees Celsius.
The forecast for more rain has brought joy to both residents and farmers. The rainfall is a significant boost for agricultural activities, with 93% of paddy crops already planted in the district. The continuous wet spell is expected to support the growth of these crops, benefiting the local farming community.
