Bihar: New Bypass Facilitates Travel from Hajipur to Patna
PATNA – In a timely development, Hajipur residents received a pre-New Year gift with the inauguration of a new bypass, making the journey to Patna more accessible.
The 10-kilometer bypass, stretching from the Hajipur-Patna main road toll plaza to Dhobghatti via Nawada Chowk-Hilalpur and Shubhai, was inaugurated by BJP MLA Awadhesh Singh.
Funded by the Road Construction Department under the Hajipur Assembly, the Rs 19 crore 39 lakh project aims to ease traffic and enhance convenience for commuters traveling from Hajipur and Patna to Mahnar, Mahua, and Muzaffarpur.
The inauguration at Shubhai Pethiya Chowk saw the presence of notable figures, including BJP Mandal President Ranjit Kumar. MLA Awadhesh Singh expressed optimism about the new road significantly reducing traffic for residents of over half a dozen panchayats and relieving vehicular pressure on the main road.
Addressing longstanding concerns of congestion at key points like Ramashish Chowk and Paswan Chowk, MLA Singh highlighted the positive impact of the bypass on local transportation, emphasizing its potential to alleviate traffic jams and enhance overall connectivity beyond Hajipur city.
