Patna: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has revealed its high-powered list of 40 star campaigners for the forthcoming 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, showcasing a strategic blend of top national leaders and local cultural icons.
Headlining the list are Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and BJP President J.P. Nadda. The party is heavily banking on its biggest names to draw crowds and set the core national narrative for the state polls.
Five Chief Ministers on the Roster
The list demonstrates a strong national commitment to the Bihar campaign by including Chief Ministers from five BJP-ruled states. Along with the crucial presence of Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath, the roster features Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, and Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta is also named.
Sources indicate that Yogi Adityanath is expected to be one of the most prolific campaigners, with multiple candidates already requesting his presence, leveraging his widespread popularity across the Hindi heartland.
Bhojpuri Stars to Anchor Cultural Outreach
In a calculated move to connect directly with the state’s massive electorate in the Bhojpuri-speaking regions, the BJP has included four major Bhojpuri cinema stars:
- Pawan Singh (who recently joined the party)
- Manoj Tiwari
- Ravi Kishan
- Dinesh Lal Yadav “Nirahua”
Their inclusion signals the BJP’s strategy to use these cultural heavyweights to supplement the national leadership’s rallies, translating the party’s agenda into a locally accessible format.
The list is rounded out by key central ministers and senior Bihar leadership, including Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari, Dharmendra Pradhan, Giriraj Singh, and former Union Minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey. The inclusion of veterans like Ravi Shankar Prasad and Nand Kishore Yadav ensures that both the old guard and new leadership are prominently featured in the state-level outreach.
