Bihar: Pune-Muzaffarpur Special Among 19 Trains Cancelled, Railways Issues Advisory

Patna: Passengers planning to travel in the coming days should check train schedules in advance, as East Central Railway has announced the cancellation of 19 trains due to unavoidable reasons. The information was shared by Chief Public Relations Officer Saraswati Chandra on Sunday.

Cancelled Trains

The following trains running through or terminating in the East Central Railway jurisdiction will remain cancelled:

  • 05289 Muzaffarpur-Pune Special – Cancelled on February 24
  • 05290 Pune-Muzaffarpur Special – Cancelled on February 26
  • 03350 Danapur-Saharsa Special – Cancelled on February 27 and 28
  • 03349 Saharsa-Danapur Special – Cancelled on February 27 and 28
  • 19483 Ahmedabad-Barauni Express – Cancelled till February 26
  • 19484 Barauni-Ahmedabad Express – Cancelled from February 24 to 28
  • 55098 Gorakhpur-Narkatiyaganj Passenger – Cancelled from February 23 to 28
  • 55097 Narkatiyaganj-Gorakhpur Passenger – Cancelled from February 24 to March 1

Trains to Run on Diverted Routes

Several trains will be diverted via Itarsi-Bina-Veerangana Laxmibai (Jhansi)-Kanpur-Lucknow-Varanasi:

  • 11033 Pune-Darbhanga Express – Departing from Pune on February 26
  • 11061 Lokmanya Tilak-Jaynagar Express – Departing from Lokmanya Tilak on February 25 and 26
  • 11062 Jaynagar-Lokmanya Tilak Pawan Express – Departing from Jaynagar on February 25 and 26
  • 18609 Ranchi-Lokmanya Tilak Express – Departing from Ranchi on February 26
  • 15559 Darbhanga-Ahmedabad Express – Departing from Darbhanga on February 26

More Train Cancellations by South Eastern Railway

In addition, South Eastern Railway has also announced the cancellation of four trains between February 24 and March 1, including three passing through Chakradharpur Railway Division and one through Adra Railway Division.

The following trains will remain cancelled:

  • 12801 Puri-New Delhi Purushottam Express – From February 24 to 28
  • 18309 Sambalpur-Jammu Tawi Express – On February 27 and March 1
  • 12820 Anand Vihar-Bhubaneswar Odisha Sampark Kranti Express – On February 28
  • 12815 Puri-Anand Vihar Nandan Kanan Express – On March 1

Kumbh Special Trains Impacting Regular Services

Railways has deployed the rakes of cancelled trains as Kumbh Special trains, which has resulted in reduced availability of regular train rakes. A notification regarding this has been issued by South Eastern Railway’s Deputy Chief Operations Manager Srinivas Samanta.

Passengers are advised to check the latest updates on train schedules before planning their journey to avoid inconvenience.
