Railways Announces More Special Kumbh Mela Trains for Devotees

Patna: Indian Railways has introduced a series of Kumbh Mela special trains to facilitate travel for devotees attending the grand religious gathering in Prayagraj. These special services will operate on select routes, including Dhanbad-Tundla, Barauni-Jhusi, and Kiul-Prayagraj Junction, ensuring smoother travel for pilgrims.

Dhanbad-Tundla Special: Train number 03697 will depart from Dhanbad at 12:40 PM on February 15, 2025, arriving at Tundla at 09:00 AM the following day. The return service, train number 03698, will leave Tundla at 04:00 PM on February 16, 2025, reaching Dhanbad at 12:40 PM the next day. Stops include Parasnath, Koderma, Gaya, Anugrah Narayan Road, Dehri on Sone, Sasaram, Bhabua Road, Chandauli Majhwar, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction, Chunar, Mirzapur, and Prayagraj Junction.

Kiul-Prayagraj Junction Special: Train number 03213 will leave Kiul at 11:00 AM on February 19, 2025, reaching Prayagraj Junction at 10:00 PM the same day. The return journey, train number 03214, will depart Prayagraj Junction at 10:35 PM on February 19, 2025, arriving at Kiul the following day at 01:00 PM. Key stops include Lakhisarai, Sheikhpura, Warsaliganj, Nawada, Tilaiya, Wazirganj, Gaya, Anugrah Narayan Road, Dehri on Sone, Sasaram, Bhabua Road, Chandauli Majhwar, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction, Chunar, and Mirzapur.

Barauni-Jhusi Special: Train number 05207 will leave Barauni at 04:30 PM on February 22, 2025, arriving at Jhusi at 05:30 AM the next day. The return service, train number 05208, will depart from Jhusi at 08:00 AM on February 23, 2025, reaching Barauni at 09:15 PM the same day. Stops include Bachhwara, Vidyapatidham, Shahpur Patori, Hajipur, Sonpur, Chhapra, and Varanasi.
