Patna: Teachers in Bihar have been urged to complete their applications for the fifth phase of the Sakshamta Pariksha by Friday, as the registration window for the competency examination closes today.
The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) said the online application process, which began on December 31, will not be extended beyond January 9. Eligible candidates can apply through the board’s official website, secondary.biharboardonline.com.
The Sakshamta Pariksha is conducted to assess the professional eligibility of teachers appointed in government schools under local bodies across the state. The fifth phase is open to primary, middle, secondary, and senior secondary teachers currently in service, as well as those who were unable to appear in earlier phases of the examination.
Applicants are required to register online by providing personal details, uploading scanned documents, and paying the examination fee. The fee has been fixed at Rs. 1100 for candidates across all categories.
According to the BSEB, qualifying marks vary by category: general category candidates must score at least 40%, while the minimum requirement is 36.5% for candidates from backward classes, 34% for extremely backward classes, and 32% for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, women, and persons with disabilities.
The board has advised candidates to retain a printed copy of the completed application form for future reference. With the deadline approaching, officials have reiterated that late applications will not be accepted.
