Patna: The Cooperative Department of the Bihar government has launched an Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) under the Sugam Call Center to provide timely information and support to farmers across the state.
The call center aims to ensure that farmers can easily access details about government-run cooperative schemes and register their grievances without needing to travel long distances. A dedicated toll-free helpline — 1800 1800 110 — has been made available for this purpose, operating daily from 6 am to 10 pm.
Through this service, farmers can receive guidance on schemes such as the Bihar State Crop Assistance Scheme, PACS membership, the Chief Minister Green Agriculture Plant Scheme, the Bihar State Vegetable Processing Scheme, and food grain procurement initiatives. They can also raise concerns regarding these programs, which are resolved within a stipulated timeframe.
The department noted that the service is designed to empower farmers with accurate, real-time information and reduce dependency on intermediaries. By offering a direct channel for complaint redressal and scheme-related queries, the initiative is being widely welcomed by farmers across Bihar.
