Patna: Teachers across government schools in Bihar have been instructed to submit details of their movable and immovable assets before receiving their January salaries. The order applies to principals, specialist teachers, school instructors and contracted teaching staff. According to the directive, staff must provide a computer-typed asset statement on plain A4 paper, signed on each page and accompanied by relevant annexures. The document must run to at least three pages, officials said.
The move falls under guidelines issued by the Bihar Administrative Reforms Mission Society, which has also mandated asset and liability submissions from all state officers and employees in groups A, B and C based on their financial positions as of December 31.
In a separate circular, the state announced observances for Veer Bal Diwas on Friday, with activities planned across government schools, early learning centres, colleges and other educational institutions. The day will include storytelling, drawing, fitness activities and creative workshops, with participation images to be shared directly with the central government.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to take part in national-level events marking the occasion, aimed at nurturing young talent and fostering creativity.
