Bihar: Bihar is set to receive a significant boost in health and tourism infrastructure with over Rs 382 crore in new investments approved by the State Investment Promotion Board. The proposals include the construction of two medicine factories in Gaya and Madhubani, a specialty hospital along the Patna bypass, and the establishment of a drone manufacturing unit in Vaishali.
The biggest share of the investment—Rs 342 crore—has been earmarked for a 391-bed specialty hospital in Patna. An additional Rs 20.45 crore and Rs 8.84 crore have been cleared for two healthcare projects in Danapur, including a 100-bed multispecialty facility.
In Naubatpur, a BSc Nursing College is also in the pipeline, designed to accommodate up to 100 students. The new education and healthcare institutions are expected to enhance medical services and provide employment to local residents.
Meanwhile, Gaya and Madhubani will host pharmaceutical manufacturing units with proposed investments of Rs 12 crore and Rs 4.56 crore, respectively. These units mark a step forward in Bihar’s push towards industrial diversification.
In the tourism sector, a four-star hotel with 120 rooms is planned for the Dobi Industrial Area in Gaya, attracting Rs 28 crore in investment. Muzaffarpur will see the development of a Rs 12 crore amusement park, complete with water-based attractions.
Further, a Rs 25 crore drone production facility has been approved in Garol, Vaishali, while an e-waste management plant with a 7,500-tonne annual capacity is planned for the Darbhanga-Madhubani region, drawing another Rs 24.85 crore.
