Patna: Bihar is set to sign a cultural agreement with three other states to enhance national unity and cultural coordination. This initiative, part of the ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ program, aims to preserve and promote the cultural heritage of different regions. Preparations for signing the memorandum of understanding are in progress.
In December 2024, Bihar signed a cultural partnership with Uttar Pradesh under this program, agreeing to cooperate in cultural, educational, and social events for three years. As part of this exchange, artists from Uttar Pradesh performed during Bihar Day celebrations, captivating audiences. Previously, Bihar’s artists had also showcased their talents during Uttar Pradesh Day.
The partnership includes organizing folk music, dance, drama, exhibitions, and seminars. Special art competitions will be held for students, and books on cultural heritage will be distributed in schools and colleges. These cultural programs will also be broadcast on television and radio, and promotional materials will feature symbols representing both states.
This initiative is expected to strengthen national unity by fostering cultural exchange. Discussions with other states are also underway for similar agreements, aiming to enhance mutual harmony and cultural collaboration across the country.
