Patna: Bihar Tourism has embarked on a journey at the prestigious World Travel Market (WTM) in London, marking a significant presence at the international event. The inauguration of the Incredible India Pavilion at the World Travel Market, which runs from November 6 to 8, witnessed the joint participation of key dignitaries, including Vikram Doraiswami, the High Commissioner of India in London, V Vidyavati, Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism, India, and Bihar’s Tourism Secretary, Abhay Kumar Singh.
Bihar Tourism’s presence at stand number- 210 in Hall number- S11has enabled global tourists to explore the picturesque and culturally rich destinations of Bihar. With a focus on engaging the diverse communities of Buddhist, Sikh, and Jain backgrounds residing in London, detailed explanations of all the tourist circuits were provided during the event.
The Bihar Tourism team, comprising Tourism Secretary Abhay Kumar Singh, Tourism Director Vinay Kumar Rai, and General Manager of Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation (BSTDC), Abhijeet Kumar, is currently in London, actively promoting the vibrant tourism offerings of the state.
Secretary Abhay Kumar Singh extended a warm invitation to the gathering at the Bihar Pavilion, highlighting the state’s significant heritage sites, cultural landmarks, and eco-tourism spots, including the Ramayana Circuit, Sufi Circuit, Buddhist Circuit, and Jain Circuit. He emphasized the ongoing development of tourist facilities, contributing to a notable surge in tourist footfall.
Tourism Director Vinay Kumar Rai and BSTDC’s GM Abhijeet Kumar provided insights into the history and significance of the World Travel Market, an eminent platform that commenced in London in 1980.
