Patna: Patna woke to hazy and slightly humid conditions on Wednesday, with the Met office forecasting a gradual rise in minimum temperatures across most districts over the next two days. According to the Bihar Mausam Seva Kendra, night temperatures are expected to increase by 1–3°C during the next 48 hours, after which no major change is likely.
Maximum temperatures are expected to remain stable for the next three to four days.
According to Patna meteorological Centre, maximum temperatures in the state ranged from 25.4°C to 30.8°C over the last 24 hours, while minimum temperatures fluctuated between 10.7°C and 19.6°C. The easing of westerly winds, forecasters say, is contributing to the slight warming trend.
Foggy start, clear afternoon
Dense fog is expected on Wednesday morning and evening, with early hours marked by low visibility and dew formation. Sunshine later in the day is likely to offer some relief before temperatures dip again after sunset.
Dry weather is expected to prevail across most of Bihar, accompanied by light westerly winds with speeds of up to 25 km/h.
Daytime temperatures are forecast to remain in the 26–32°C range, while nights are expected to settle between 12–18°C.
In the past 24 hours, Purnia recorded the state’s highest maximum temperature at 31.4°C, while Adhaura in Kaimur logged the coldest night, with the minimum falling to 8.2°C.
Meteorologists say the current pattern of foggy mornings and clearer afternoons is likely to continue through the week.
