Patna : Bihar is likely to witness changing weather conditions on October 9, with rain, thunderstorms and lightning possible in several districts.

According to the latest forecast from the India Meteorological Department (IMD), a cyclonic circulation is prevailing over north-eastern Bihar and adjoining areas at lower tropospheric levels. The system is expected to influence weather conditions across parts of the state until October 11.

Rain And Thunderstorm Alert On October 9

The cyclonic circulation is likely to create conditions favourable for thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds at several places on October 9.

Some locations may also receive heavy rainfall, although rain is expected to remain mostly localised rather than widespread across the state.

North Bihar is likely to see the most noticeable weather activity, with Muzaffarpur and adjoining districts expected to experience cloudy conditions and light rain at some places.

Muzaffarpur And North Bihar To See Light Rain

In Muzaffarpur and other parts of North Bihar, thunderclouds are likely to remain active on October 9.

The forecast indicates that light rain may occur at some places across several districts. People in areas experiencing thunderstorms have been advised to remain cautious, particularly during lightning activity.

The maximum temperature is expected to remain between 31°C and 35°C, while minimum temperatures may range from 22°C to 26°C.

Weather To Remain Unsettled Till October 11

The influence of the cyclonic circulation is expected to continue over the region, keeping weather conditions unsettled in parts of Bihar through October 11.

The intensity and location of rainfall may vary from one district to another, with some areas receiving only light showers while isolated locations could experience stronger weather activity.

Humidity Likely To Remain High

Morning relative humidity is forecast to remain between 75% and 85%. During the afternoon, humidity may decline to around 45% to 55%.

The high morning humidity, along with the prevailing atmospheric circulation, may support cloud development and rainfall over parts of the state.

Easterly Winds In Muzaffarpur

Winds in Muzaffarpur and adjoining areas are expected to remain predominantly easterly, with speeds of around 5 to 15 kmph.

With rain, thunderstorms and lightning possible, residents are advised to follow local weather updates and take precautions during periods of severe weather.

The weather system is expected to remain active over the region for the next few days, with rain and thunderstorm activity possible in different parts of Bihar through October 11.
