Patna: The weather across most parts of Bihar is expected to remain dry with partly cloudy skies, while temperatures are likely to stay largely unchanged, according to the latest meteorological update.
The weather department has predicted that some areas of the state may witness light drizzle accompanied by thunder and lightning over the next two days. A western disturbance is expected to influence the northwestern parts of the state on March 14.
Due to its impact, cloudy conditions are likely to prevail across Bihar between March 14 and March 17. Authorities have also issued a warning for thunderstorms and lightning along with light rainfall in some parts during this period. Strong winds blowing at speeds of 30–40 km per hour are also expected.
In Patna, the maximum temperature was recorded at 32.0 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature stood at 24.5 degrees Celsius. Kaimur emerged as the hottest location in the state with a maximum temperature of 34.9 degrees Celsius.
Notably, Patna recorded its highest minimum temperature in the past 15 years. A rise in maximum temperatures was also observed in 21 cities across the state.
On Wednesday, Patna and nearby areas experienced normal weather conditions with partly cloudy skies.
