Bihar: Woman On Way To Office Shot by Bike-Riding Criminals in Muzaffarpur
Muzaffarpur: In the Bela police station area of Muzaffarpur, bike-riding criminals shot a female factory worker on Tuesday morning, leaving her seriously injured. The assailants fired three bullets into her abdomen before fleeing the spot. Local residents, alerted by the gunshots, rushed to her aid and quickly transported her to the hospital. The criminals fired shots in the air as they escaped.
City SP Awadhesh Dixit arrived at the spot to investigate upon receiving the information. CCTV footage from the vicinity captured images of the bike-riding criminals, and police are now conducting raids to arrest the culprits.
The victim, identified as Sanskriti from the Rambagh area, was en route to her computer operator job at Mehrotra Engineering Works Private Limited in Bela on her scooter. Near the factory, three bike-riding criminals, lying in wait, shot her as soon as she approached. After the initial shot caused her to fall from her scooter, the criminals fired two more shots at her. Police have seized three shell casings and two cartridges from the spot.
Local residents reported that the three criminals arrived on a high-speed bike, with two riding and one carrying out the shooting.
