Patna : A bomb threat targeting the Patna Civil Court triggered panic on Thursday, prompting authorities to step up security measures across the court premises.
The anonymous threat, received through a handwritten note, warned of an explosion intended to destroy the court building.
Immediately after the threat was received, security forces swung into action. A bomb disposal squad and a dog squad team were deployed at the site to thoroughly search the premises.
The court area was evacuated as a precautionary measure while police personnel conducted a meticulous inspection of the entire compound.
Senior officials from Patna Police confirmed that the threat is being treated with utmost seriousness. CCTV footage is being examined, and forensic teams have collected the note for handwriting and fingerprint analysis.
While no explosives were found during the initial sweep, the court remained on high alert throughout the day. Additional security personnel were stationed at all entry and exit points, and all visitors were subject to strict checking.
