Patna: The Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) has announced the recruitment of 24 Range Officers of Forest under Advertisement No. 02/2025. The online application process will commence on May 1, 2025, and will remain open until June 1, 2025. Interested candidates can apply through the official BPSSC website at bpssc.bihar.gov.in.
Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree in disciplines such as Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Biotechnology, Zoology, Agriculture, Forestry, or Engineering. The age criteria are set between 20 to 37 years for male candidates and up to 40 years for female candidates, with age relaxations applicable as per government norms.
The selection process includes a written examination followed by a physical eligibility test. Male candidates are required to complete a 25 km walk in 4 hours, while female candidates must complete a 14 km walk in the same duration. The pay scale for the Range Officer of Forest position ranges from Rs 35,400 to Rs 1,12,400.
The application fee is Rs 700 for General, OBC, EWS, and candidates from other states. For SC, ST, and female candidates domiciled in Bihar, the fee is Rs 400.
