BSDMA Pavilion in Bihar Diwas Showcases Safety, Technology, and Awareness With Drone Exhibition and AR/VR Attractions

Patna: The Bihar State Disaster Management Authority (BSDMA) is organising a special pavilion for Bihar Diwas 2025 at Gandhi Maidan, showcasing crucial information on disaster preparedness and safety. The initiative aims to educate the public on risk mitigation through interactive displays and expert guidance.
The pavilion features contributions from leading institutions, including IIT Patna, the Bihar Mausam Seva Kendra, Space Applications Centre-ISRO, Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), GPSVS, Dostana Safar, SEEDS, Utkarsh Ek Pehal, SOTTO, and VOLTRON AR/VR Game Studio. Bihar Fire Service is also participating in the event.
A key attraction is the Hospital Fire Safety Model and the Chief Minister School Safety Programme, which provide insights into fire prevention and emergency preparedness in schools and hospitals. In an effort to make disaster awareness engaging, the pavilion offers street plays, puppet shows, and performances by clowns to educate children, young people, and the general public.
Additionally, a drone exhibition, awareness programmes using augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR) technology, and disaster safety training for persons with disabilities are among the highlights of the event. The BSDMA’s pavilion aims to create an interactive and informative space, equipping citizens with essential knowledge on disaster management.
