Patna: Three employees of the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) have been booked after an internal verification allegedly found discrepancies in the educational certificates they submitted for service regularisation.
The employees — Shiv Kumar Yadav, Madhav Yadav and Harimohan Yadav — were working as padachar staff at the Bihar Board. Their initial appointments date back to 1994 and 1995, meaning they had been in service for more than three decades.
According to the FIR-related details, the three employees were initially appointed on a daily-wage or contractual basis. In 2005, they were asked to submit educational qualification documents as part of the process for regularising their services.
Service Regularised In 2016
The certificates were subsequently sent to the concerned educational institutions for verification. The board regularised the services of the three employees along with other staff on October 3, 2016.
The subsequent verification of their transfer certificates reportedly raised questions about their authenticity, with the concerned schools stating that the documents had not been issued by them or did not match their records.
How The Alleged Fake Certificates Were Detected
Shiv Kumar Yadav had submitted a Class 9 transfer certificate purportedly issued by High School Kaura in Bhojpur. According to the verification report, the school’s admission records covering the relevant period did not contain his name. The school also reportedly found the headmaster’s signature on the certificate to be forged.
Madhav Yadav had submitted a Class 10 transfer certificate purportedly issued by Diara +2 High School, Karnamepur, Bhojpur. The school reportedly declared the certificate invalid. During the inquiry, Madhav allegedly submitted another certificate from the same institution, but it carried a different date of birth from the earlier document.
Harimohan Yadav had submitted a Class 8 transfer certificate purportedly issued by DBRK Jalan School in Patna City. During verification, his name was reportedly not found in the school’s 1992 admission register.
FIR Registered In Patna
Following the internal verification, a board official submitted a written complaint at Patna’s Kotwali police station. An FIR was subsequently registered against the three employees.
Police are now investigating the authenticity of the certificates, their alleged use during the service regularisation process and the records connected with the employees’ appointments.
Appointments Date Back To 1994-95
The three appointments date back more than 30 years. Shiv Kumar Yadav was appointed on July 1, 1995, Madhav Yadav on July 1, 1994, and Harimohan Yadav on April 1, 1995, according to the reported records.
The case has also brought the board’s earlier certificate verification and service regularisation process under scrutiny.
The allegations against the three employees are subject to the ongoing police investigation. Further action will depend on the findings of the authorities.
