BSRTC Buses from Bhagalpur to Begusarai, Muzaffarpur, and Darbhanga Begin Operations

Bhagalpur: In a significant relief to bus commuters, the Bihar State Road Transport Corporation (BSRTC) has commenced government bus services from Bhagalpur to Begusarai, Muzaffarpur, and Darbhanga. This marks the first time BSRTC buses will operate on the Bhagalpur-Begusarai route, which was previously dominated by private operators.
The move follows successful coordination between Bhagalpur’s regional transport office and the district administration of Begusarai. Regional Manager Pawan Kumar Shandilya confirmed that necessary permits have been secured and dedicated parking space near the Begusarai railway station has been allotted for the buses.
DM Assures Support, Warns of Action Against Obstruction
Begusarai District Magistrate has instructed the Deputy Superintendent of Traffic Police to take strict legal action against anyone attempting to obstruct the movement or operation of the newly launched government buses.
First-Ever State Bus Service to Begusarai
“With this launch, BSRTC buses will now run for the first time from Bhagalpur to Begusarai,” Shandilya said. “Private buses used to monopolize the route earlier, and due to their interference, the state-run services could not operate towards Muzaffarpur and Darbhanga either. But those hurdles have now been resolved.”
