Patna: Railways are planning to start a new Vande Bharat Express between Patna and Bhopal, which will be a big relief for passengers travelling between Bihar and Madhya Pradesh. This new high-speed train is expected to begin in the next two months. Once it starts, the journey between the two capitals will not only be quicker but also more comfortable.
At present, trains between Patna and Bhopal take around 18 to 20 hours. But with the new Vande Bharat Express, passengers will be able to complete the over 1000 km journey in just 11 to 13 hours. This will help many people who regularly travel for work, business or other purposes.
According to railway sources, the train will likely run from Bhopal’s Rani Kamlapati Railway Station and pass through important cities like Satna, Prayagraj, and Varanasi before reaching Patna. The maintenance of this train may be handled by the Danapur Railway Division, which could make Patna its base station.
Patna is quickly becoming a major hub for Vande Bharat trains. Currently, it is already connected to Ranchi and Howrah, and a new train to Gorakhpur is also planned. With the addition of this Bhopal link, Patna’s railway connectivity will grow even stronger. The Railway Board has yet to give final approval, but preparations suggest the service may begin very soon.
