Bus Driver Dies of Heart Attack in Muzaffarpur, Saves 30 Passengers
Muzaffarpur: A bus driver suffered a heart attack while driving a bus full of passengers in Muzaffarpur on Saturday. Despite his condition, the driver managed to steer the bus safely to the side of the road, apply the brakes, and bring the vehicle to a halt, saving the lives of the 30 passengers on board. Moments later, the driver collapsed onto the steering wheel.
Upon receiving information about the incident, the police arrived at the scene and took custody of the driver’s body, which was later sent to Sri Krishna Medical College and Hospital (SKMCH) for postmortem. The bus belonged to Kamakhya Travels and was traveling from Kishanganj to Patna when the unfortunate event occurred.
The deceased driver has been identified as Munna Nepali, aged 60, a resident of the Mithapur police station area in Patna district. According to the passengers and staff on the bus, Munna died due to a sudden heart attack.
The passengers, though shaken, were unharmed and later transferred to another bus to continue their journey. Meanwhile, the police have initiated an investigation into the matter.
