CBSE Class 10 and 12 Board Exams Begin Today

Patna: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is set to commence the Class 10 and 12 board examinations today, with the first papers scheduled for 10:30 am across 54 centres in the city. Students have been instructed to arrive by 10 am, as late entry beyond this time will not be permitted. The initial examinations feature English for Class 10 and Entrepreneurship for Class 12.
Statewide, approximately 135,000 students are registered for the Class 10 exams, while around 58,000 will sit for the Class 12 assessments.
Candidates are reminded to adhere strictly to the invigilators’ instructions. It is mandatory to record both roll numbers and question paper set numbers on answer booklets and attendance sheets. Prohibited items include mobile phones and electronic devices; only essential stationery such as pens, pencils, erasers, scales, sharpeners, geometry instruments, colours, and admit cards are allowed.
In preparation, the board conducted a webinar on Friday, urging school principals to diligently oversee examination duties and ensure timely completion of evaluation processes.
Meanwhile, the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) will administer the matriculation examinations from February 17 to 25, establishing over 1,600 centres statewide to accommodate 1.586 million candidates. A control room will become operational from February 16, functioning daily from 6 am to 6 pm until the conclusion of exams on February 25. This facility aims to address any examination-related issues, providing assistance to parents, school heads, centre superintendents, nodal officers, district programme officers, district education officers, and district officials. The BSEB has also released the Class 10 exam timetable, with assessments scheduled between February 17 and 25. The exams will be conducted in two shifts: the first from 9:30 am to 12:45 pm, and the second from 2 pm to 5:15 pm. Students can access the detailed schedule on the official BSEB website.
