Rajgir: With the Hero Asia Cup Rajgir 2025 just days away, preparations are in full swing as the Bihar State Sports Authority trains young hockey players for key supporting roles in the tournament.
Director General-cum-CEO of the Bihar State Sports Authority, Ravindran Sankaran, addressed the trainees in Rajgir on Wednesday, highlighting the significance of their participation in the international event.
“It is a matter of pride for the trainees of Bihar to get this opportunity. Through this tournament, they will be able to understand the international-level sports system closely and will develop responsibility, discipline and confidence in them. In the role of ball boys and ball girls, they will be an integral part of the event,” he said.
The trainees are undergoing dedicated sessions to ensure they can carry out their responsibilities with efficiency and discipline. Officials said their involvement not only supports the smooth running of the competition but also exposes them to professional sporting standards.
The Hero Asia Cup 2025, set to take place in Rajgir from August 29 to September 7, will feature leading men’s hockey teams from across Asia.
