Patna: The Indian Railways has released the timetable, route and coach composition of the newly introduced Chhapra–Anand Vihar Terminal Weekly Express. The train, which was recently flagged off at Chhapra Junction by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, will commence regular operations from June 28.
The weekly service is expected to improve connectivity between Bihar and the national capital while benefiting students, business travellers and working professionals who frequently travel between the two regions.
Weekly Schedule Announced
According to railway officials, Train No. 12527 Chhapra–Anand Vihar Terminal Weekly Express will depart from Chhapra every Sunday at 8.50 pm and reach Anand Vihar Terminal in Delhi at 2 pm the following day.
On the return journey, Train No. 12528 Anand Vihar Terminal–Chhapra Weekly Express will leave Delhi every Monday at 4.25 pm and arrive in Chhapra at 9.40 am the next day.
Route Through Bihar and Uttar Pradesh
The train will run via several major stations in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh before reaching Delhi.
After departing from Chhapra, it will pass through Ballia, Mau, Azamgarh, Shahganj, Jaunpur, Sultanpur, Lucknow, Kanpur Central, Aligarh and Ghaziabad. The return service will follow the same route.
22 Coaches in Train Composition
Railways has provided a total of 22 coaches in the new weekly express. The rake will include Second Class, Sleeper, AC Third Economy, AC Third Tier, AC Second Tier and AC First Class coaches.
In addition, luggage and generator cars have also been included to support passenger and operational requirements.
Additional Travel Option for Delhi-Bound Passengers
Railway officials said the new service has been introduced to meet growing passenger demand on the Bihar–Delhi route. The train is expected to ease travel for commuters by providing another direct rail link between Chhapra and Delhi.
The launch of the weekly express is also expected to strengthen rail connectivity from Bihar to the national capital and offer greater convenience to passengers travelling for education, employment and business purposes.
