Chhatrasal Singh Appointed General Manager of East Central Railway
Hajipur: Chhatrasal Singh has officially taken over as the new General Manager of East Central Railway, effective Saturday. Before this appointment, he served as Additional Member (Traffic Transportation) on the Railway Board in New Delhi.
Singh, an officer from the 1988 batch of the Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS), holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT Roorkee. His career spans numerous key roles within Indian Railways, providing him with a wealth of experience across various departments.
Throughout his tenure, Singh has served in South East Central Railway, North Central Railway, North Western Railway, and Northern Railway, holding various operational, commercial, and security positions. His expertise also extends to technology and systems, having worked as Director (Computerization and Information System) on the Railway Board and as General Manager at CRIS, New Delhi.
In addition to these roles, Singh has made significant contributions as Divisional Rail Manager in the Chakradharpur Division of South Eastern Railway and as Principal Chief Operating Manager in South East Central Railway.
