Patna: The Minority Welfare Department has invited online applications from eligible students under the Chief Minister Student Incentive Scheme for the 2026 academic year. The application process began on July 31 through the e-Kalyan portal.
Under the scheme, minority (Muslim) female students who passed the Intermediate examination in the first division from the Bihar School Examination Board are eligible for an incentive of Rs 15,000. The same amount will also be provided to female students who secured a first division in the Maulvi examination conducted by the Bihar State Madrasa Education Board.
Financial Assistance for Fauqania Students
The department said minority students, both male and female, who passed the Fauqania examination in the first division will receive financial assistance of Rs 10,000.
The incentive amount will be transferred directly to beneficiaries’ bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) or RTGS system.
Application Process
Applicants must log in to the e-Kalyan portal using their registration number and roll number. After logging in, they are required to provide details including their bank account number, IFSC code and Aadhaar number.
The department has advised students to ensure that their bank account is Aadhaar-seeded and registered in their own name.
Eligibility and Banking Requirements
According to the department, the bank account must be maintained with a branch in Bihar of a nationalised bank, a recognised private bank or the India Post Payments Bank.
Students requiring assistance with the application process may contact the concerned District Minority Welfare Officer, the department said.
