CM Inaugurates World-Class Planetarium in Patna: Modern Projection System Unveiled in Rs 200 Crore Reconstruction
Patna: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday inaugurated the latest advancements including a modern projection system, renovated building, and guest house as part of the renovation project at the Patna Planetarium. The unveiling ceremony was accompanied by a thorough inspection of the premises, with Kumar actively engaging with officials to garner detailed insights into the upgrades.
Central to the renovation efforts is the reinforcement of the planetarium’s infrastructure to withstand seismic activity, achieved through meticulous retrofitting measures. Nitish, during his visit, meticulously examined the retrofitting techniques implemented and explored the various instruments and exhibits showcasing the planetarium’s activities, including a mesmerizing 3D depiction of the universe’s creation process.
The reconstruction endeavor, estimated at a budget of Rs 200 crore, signifies a substantial investment towards modernizing the planetarium’s facilities. Notably, the state-of-the-art projection system was installed at the behest of the Chief Minister, underscoring his commitment to enhancing scientific education and outreach in Bihar.
The inauguration event witnessed the presence of key dignitaries including Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary, Vijay Kumar Sinha, Building Construction Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Science and Technology Minister Sumit Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary to CM Deepak Kumar, Chief Secretary Aamir Subhani, Principal Secretary to CM Dr. S.
