Patna: In a significant meeting held on Wednesday, BJP national spokesperson Syed Shahnawaz Hussain engaged with Bihar Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar to deliberate on the state of higher education institutions in Bihar. During the discourse, Hussain brought to light the conditions of Sabour Agricultural University and Tilkamanjhi University, urging the Governor to take note of their plight and extend support for improvement.
Highlighting the historical significance of Bihar’s educational landscape, Hussain extended an invitation to Governor Arlekar to visit the revered Vikramshila University, an ancient educational bastion steeped in history and heritage.
“Governor Arlekar’s attention to the advancement of Bihar’s educational institutions since his arrival has been commendable. He has shown particular concern for Sabour Agricultural University and Tilkamanjhi University,” remarked Hussain, emphasizing the importance of addressing the challenges faced by these institutions.
The conversation also delved into the prospects of reviving Vikramshila University, an illustrious center of learning dating back centuries. Hussain disclosed ongoing efforts by the Central Government to elevate Vikramshila University to the status of a Central University, underscoring its pivotal role in the region’s academic legacy.
“The excavation currently underway at the Vikramshila heritage site has unearthed significant ancient artifacts, signifying the rich historical tapestry of the region,” Hussain informed the Governor, shedding light on the archaeological endeavors underway.
Expressing optimism for the future, Hussain urged Governor Arlekar to expedite efforts towards the revival of Vikramshila University, resonating with the aspirations of the people of Bhagalpur and Bihar at large.
“The completion of numerous development schemes by the Central Government underscores its commitment to the restoration of the ancient Vikramshila University area. However, the realization of Bihar’s dream hinges upon the resurrection of Vikramshila University as a Central University,” asserted Hussain, articulating the collective sentiment of the region.
In a fervent appeal, Hussain implored Governor Arlekar to visit the heritage site of Vikramshila University in Antichak, Kahalgaon, Bhagalpur, envisioning his presence as a catalyst for the long-awaited revival of this venerable institution.
