Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is set to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for several projects worth ₹100 crore in Patna today. During his visit, the CM will inspect ongoing infrastructure projects and assess flood-affected areas, with a special focus on the Mokama assembly constituency.
The Chief Minister will take stock of two key infrastructure developments: a 6-lane road under construction in the Mokama region and a 2-lane railway line on the Ganga Bridge. These ambitious projects are expected to significantly improve connectivity in the region, and the CM’s visit will focus on ensuring they stay on track.
Additionally, Nitish Kumar will inspect a critical water management project in Gaya’s Falgu river, where water is being channeled through a mega company’s system. In Maranchi, the CM will lay the foundation stone for a newly constructed primary health centre and an animal hospital.
During his visit, the CM will also interact with local farmers to understand their issues and concerns, ensuring that rural development remains a priority. In Belchi, he will inaugurate a new block and zonal office building, designed to streamline administrative services. The state-of-the-art building, constructed at a cost of ₹20.45 crore, will house all block and zone officials, ensuring they have the facilities required to serve the public efficiently. Revenue employees will now operate from the new zonal office, much to the enthusiasm of local villagers, who have expressed excitement about the upgraded infrastructure.
A helipad has been set up at Maranchi High School to facilitate the Chief Minister’s arrival, with officials conducting late-night inspections on Sunday to ensure all preparations are in place.
