Patna : A solemn condolence and prayer meeting was held today at Jesus and Mary Academy in Hajiganj, Kaimashikoh, Patna City, to mourn the passing of Pope Francis and the victims of the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. The event brought together the school community to reflect on the profound loss of both the spiritual leader of the Christian community and the innocent lives lost in the attack.
The funeral of Pope Francis, who passed away earlier this week, will be held on April 26, at St. Peter’s Square in Vatican City. In a touching ceremony, Principal Pooja N Sharma, accompanied by teachers and staff, paid tribute to the late Pope by garlanding his portrait and offering heartfelt condolences.
During the event, the Director of the school, Ambrose Patrick, and Deputy Director, Abhishek Patrick, shared their thoughts on the legacy of Pope Francis. They emphasized that Pope Francis was not only a religious leader but also a global symbol of peace, love, and compassion. His life and teachings will continue to inspire countless individuals to pursue lives of service, unity, and spiritual enlightenment.
“Pope Francis was more than just the head of the Catholic Church; he was a guiding light for all of humanity, encouraging us to walk the path of compassion, truth, and togetherness,” said Ambrose Patrick.
The gathering concluded with a prayer for the peace of Pope Francis’s soul, as well as for the victims of the Pahalgam attack. The school community expressed their condolences to all of Pope Francis’s followers and the wider global community, praying for eternal peace and light to shine upon him.
