Patna: The majority of Temporary Drainage Pumping Stations (TDPS) pumps installed by the Bihar Urban Infrastructure Development Corporation (BUIDCO) in the Danapur area are functioning efficiently, helping mitigate waterlogging concerns during the monsoon season.
Out of a total of 19 TDPS pumps deployed across four key sites in Danapur, 17 pumps are currently operational. The remaining two pumps are in standby condition and can be activated as required, officials confirmed.
At the Digha Canal Sluice Gate TDPS, 10 out of 12 pumps are active — including five 120 HP electric and five 105 HP diesel pumps. The other two pumps are on standby and will be used based on demand.
All four pumps at the Horse Race TDPS site — three 120 HP electric and one 105 HP diesel — are operational.
The Nehru Path AIIMS Road TDPS is also running at full capacity, with one 120 HP and one 60 HP electric pump both in use.
At the Hi Tech Hospital TDPS, the lone 60 HP electric pump is fully operational.
