Darbhanga: Flight operations at Darbhanga Airport witnessed disruptions on Thursday after a scheduled SpiceJet flight arriving from Delhi was cancelled, prompting changes to the day’s flight schedule.
The airline informed passengers in advance about the cancellation, preventing congestion or confusion at the airport. Airport operations otherwise continued normally, with a total of 12 flights operating to and from Darbhanga during the day.
Delhi Flight Cancelled
The cancelled service affected passenger movement between Darbhanga and Delhi, with fewer travellers reported on the route following the announcement.
Airport sources said prior communication from the airline helped passengers adjust their travel plans in advance and reduced inconvenience at the terminal.
Delays And Early Arrivals
Several flights arriving at Darbhanga Airport either landed ahead of schedule or reported delays through the day.
SpiceJet flight SG 115 from Mumbai arrived at 11:55 AM, nearly one hour and 40 minutes later than its scheduled arrival time of 10:15 AM.
Akasa Air flight QP 1405 from Delhi landed at 10:35 AM, around 20 minutes ahead of schedule. Another Akasa Air service, QP 1513 from Bengaluru, arrived at 12:19 PM, four minutes behind schedule.
Akasa Air flight QP 1139 from Mumbai landed 14 minutes earlier than its scheduled arrival time of 1:05 PM.
IndiGo flight 6E 537 from Hyderabad reached Darbhanga five minutes before its scheduled arrival time of 2:10 PM, while IndiGo flight 6E 360 from Delhi landed 18 minutes ahead of its scheduled time of 3:00 PM.
Previous Day’s Delays
On Wednesday, an IndiGo flight arriving from Kolkata had landed more than two hours behind schedule, causing inconvenience to passengers travelling between Kolkata and Darbhanga.
According to airport officials, 18 flights operated to and from Darbhanga Airport on Wednesday.
