District-Level Job Fair in Samastipur Sees Over 400 Candidates Selected

Samastipur: The Labor Resources Department and District Employment Office organized a district-level one-day employment-cum-vocational guidance fair in Samastipur, which saw enthusiastic participation from job seekers and employers alike.
The event was inaugurated by Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC) Sandeep Shekhar Priyadarshi, who lit the ceremonial lamp. The District Employment Officer welcomed the chief guest by presenting a plant, while students of Kushal Yuva Kendra marked the occasion with a welcome song. Certificates were also distributed to meritorious students of the Kushal Yuva Kendra as a recognition of their achievements.
A total of 28 employers participated in the fair, which drew over 2,000 candidates seeking employment opportunities. Various employers received 1,588 biodata submissions, and 423 candidates were provisionally selected on the spot. The selection process for other employers is still underway.
Government departments also set up stalls at the fair, providing detailed information about various welfare schemes aimed at skill development and employment generation. Officials guided candidates on career opportunities and skill enhancement programs.
Prominent officials present at the event included District Fisheries Officer Niazuddin, District Planning Officer Sumit Kumar Singh, Factory Inspector Manoj Kumar Jail, and Labor Enforcement Officers Rajiv Kumar and Rakesh Kumar. Other attendees included Clerk Saroj Kumar Das, Clerk Basant Kumar, Cluster Manager Kshama Kumari, and Ranjit Kumar, among others.
