Patna DM Reviews Preparations for Independence Day Celebration

Patna: District Magistrate, Patna Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh reviewed the preparations for the 78th Independence Day Celebration, 2024. The review covered cleanliness, barricading, seating arrangements, traffic management, parking, invitation letters, electrical arrangements, parade and rehearsal, drinking water, first aid facilities, fire fighting arrangements, loudspeaker arrangements, display of tableaux, and law and order. Each aspect was examined and the current status of preparations was assessed.
The main state function will be held at Gandhi Maidan, Patna, and the entire venue has been divided into four zones under the leadership of senior officials. Inter-departmental coordination was emphasized to ensure the success of the event.
Rehearsals for the parade have already commenced, with 19 contingents participating. Gandhi Maidan is currently closed for public entry and all activities until August 15, 2024, except for pre-preparations for the Independence Day Celebration.
On August 15, Gandhi Maidan will be open to the general public, with excellent arrangements in place to accommodate the audience. The celebrations are expected to be organized with full dignity and grandeur across the district.
