Patna: Subodh Kumar, the 31-year-old driver of Dr. Tanveer Hoda, was found dead in an apparent suicide at Sophia Nursing Home in Phulwari Sharif, Patna, on Wednesday. Subodh, who had been working for Dr. Hoda for the past two years, was discovered hanging from a fan inside his room after not emerging from it following dinner the previous evening.
According to Dr. Hoda, Subodh had been facing ongoing family issues for several months, which, coupled with financial stress from loans he had taken, may have contributed to his tragic decision. “He was under a lot of pressure due to his inability to repay the loans,” Dr. Hoda explained.
The Phulwari Sharif police, led by Sub Inspector Gopal Prasad Mishra, have launched an investigation into the incident. Authorities are working with the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) to conduct a thorough probe. The family of the deceased has been notified about the incident.
