ECR GM Anil Kumar Khandelwal Conducts In-Depth Inspection of Patna-Ranchi Vande Bharat Express
HAJIPUR – Anil Kumar Khandelwal, the General Manager of East Central Railway (ECR), embarked on a journey aboard the Patna-Ranchi Vande Bharat Express today, meticulously inspecting the train’s facilities and engaging with passengers to gather valuable feedback. The semi-high-speed Vande Bharat Express, known for its world-class amenities, operates between Patna and Ranchi.
During the journey, General Manager Khandelwal conducted a comprehensive examination of cleanliness standards, catering services, and overall passenger experience. Interacting with passengers, he received positive feedback about the state-of-the-art technology, speed, and comfort provided by the Vande Bharat train. Divisional Railway Manager of Danapur Division, Jayant Kumar Chaudhary, and other officials accompanied the General Manager during the inspection.
The inspection continued at Gaya station, where Khandelwal assessed various passenger facilities and reviewed ongoing redevelopment projects under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. Moving forward, he inspected the construction of the goods shed line and sleeper plant at Manpur station. Divisional Railway Manager of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Division, Rajesh Gupta, and other officers were present during the Gaya and Manpur inspections.
The subsequent phase of the inspection focused on stations along the Gaya-Lakhisarai railway section, the Gaya-Kiul doubling project, under-construction bridges, and level crossing gates. The General Manager scrutinized passenger facilities at Nawada and Warsaliganj stations, including circulating areas, platforms, panel rooms, and main buildings.
Continuing the thorough assessment, Khandelwal examined the ongoing work at Ashokdham station on the Jhajha-Patna railway section. The platform, circulating area, crew lobby, and running room at the flood station were carefully inspected by the General Manager. Divisional Railway Manager of Danapur Division, Jayant Kumar Chaudhary, and other division officials, including representatives from IRCON, accompanied him during this phase of the inspection.
