Patna: The Bihar Economic Offences Unit (EOU) on Wednesday conducted raids at six locations linked to Kevti Block Development Officer (BDO) Chandramohan Paswan in connection with an alleged disproportionate assets case.
According to the EOU, preliminary inquiry and verification found that Paswan had allegedly acquired assets around 81.03% higher than his known sources of income. The assets under scrutiny are estimated to be worth Rs. 89.13 lakh.
Following the verification process, the agency registered a case against the officer under various provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act.

Searches carried out at six locations
In a press statement, the EOU said the searches began on Wednesday morning after obtaining search warrants from the Special Vigilance Court in Muzaffarpur.
Simultaneous raids were conducted by EOU teams at six premises associated with the officer in Darbhanga and Madhubani districts.
Properties under search
The locations searched include:
- A residential and commercial property in Bahadurpur, Darbhanga
- An ancestral house and commercial premises in Babubarhi, Madhubani
- The BDO office and government residence in Kevti, Darbhanga
The EOU said further investigation is underway.
