Flight Delay Triggers Passenger Protests at Patna Airport
Patna: Passengers at Patna airport caused a commotion on Saturday evening after Air flight to Delhi was delayed by two hours. The flight, originally scheduled to depart at 7:10 PM, was grounded due to a technical issue, leading to widespread frustration among the travelers.
The flight was parked in the airport’s parking bay, and passengers were about to begin boarding when the airline informed them of a technical problem with the aircraft’s engine. Upon receiving this update, many passengers expressed their anger and started creating a ruckus inside the terminal.
Air India’s ground staff, along with CISF personnel, intervened to calm the passengers and maintain order. According to Air India officials, the issue was related to the movement of the aircraft’s wings, and engineers were working on the repairs.
Airline officials assured passengers that if the technical issue couldn’t be resolved in time, alternative arrangements would be made to transport them to Delhi via another flight.
