Gayaji: Gayaji has taken a significant step towards improving facilities for the judiciary with the opening of its first-ever Judges’ Guest House. Built near the District Legal Services Authority office in AP Colony, the new guest house has been specially designed to meet the needs of judicial officers who come to Gayaji for official work. Officials said the facility will reduce difficulties faced by judges in finding suitable accommodation and will help them focus better on their judicial responsibilities.
The inauguration was carried out by the Chief Justice of India, Justice Suryakant, through video conferencing from Patna, as he was unable to travel to Gayaji due to time constraints. The event was attended by several senior judicial and administrative officers, including Gayaji’s supervising judge Justice Satyavrat Verma and Principal District and Sessions Judge Madan Kishore Kaushik. District Magistrate Shashank Shubhankhar and Senior Superintendent of Police Anand Kumar were also present, reflecting the importance of the project for the district administration.
Officials said the Judges’ Guest House has been planned keeping in mind the national importance of Gayaji, which frequently receives judges from different parts of Bihar and other states. The building is equipped with modern facilities to ensure a comfortable stay. It includes one presidential suite, 10 suite rooms and 10 single suites. Additional amenities such as a gym, dining hall, waiting area, garden, vehicle parking and Wi-Fi facility have also been provided, along with proper lighting and comfortable beds.
The district and police administration had made extensive security arrangements in view of the possible visit of the Chief Justice. Security was tightened from the airport to major religious sites like the Mahabodhi Temple and Vishnupad Temple, as well as around the Judges’ Guest House. The district magistrate personally reviewed the arrangements and remained in constant coordination with officials on duty. Though the Chief Justice could not attend in person, the inauguration of the Judges’ Guest House is being seen as a major development that will strengthen judicial work and infrastructure in Gayaji.
