Gold Up Rs 20,000 In 2026

Gold has continued to gain significantly in 2026 despite periodic fluctuations. The price of 10 grams of gold stood at around Rs 1.33 lakh on December 31, 2025, and has now reached Rs 1.53 lakh, representing an increase of around Rs 20,000.

During the year, gold reached an all-time high of Rs 1.76 lakh per 10 grams on January 29.

Silver, meanwhile, was priced at Rs 2.30 lakh per kg on December 31, 2025, compared with Rs 2.35 lakh currently. It had touched an all-time high of Rs 3.86 lakh per kg on January 29.

Expert Sees Further Upside

A market expert in Patna said gold continues to receive support from retail investors as well as central banks, including the Reserve Bank of India, which have been purchasing the precious metal.

The expert expects gold to maintain its upward momentum amid the prevailing market conditions. Silver could also see a rise if conditions improve.

Based on the current outlook, the expert estimates that gold could reach Rs 1.70 lakh per 10 grams by December, while silver could climb to Rs 3 lakh per kg. These are market expectations and not guaranteed price levels.
